Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors of sterlingpaintdw.com, operated by Sterling Painting and Drywall, a licensed home improvement contractor in New Jersey. It explains what information we collect when you browse the site or request an estimate, and the choices you have.

Information you give us directly

When you fill out our estimate or contact form, we collect what you enter: name, phone number, email, property address, project type, and any project details or message you add. We use this only to respond to your request, schedule a visit, and prepare a written proposal. We do not use this information for anything else.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages get visited and how people find the site, things like pages viewed, general device and browser type, and approximate location (city or region level, not precise). This runs through cookies, small files stored in your browser.

Google Analytics only runs after you accept cookies through the banner shown on your first visit. Analytics is set to blocked by default until you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent for that visit.

Cookies we use

• Analytics cookies (Google Analytics), only after you accept. Used to see aggregate site usage, not to identify you individually.
• A consent-preference cookie or local storage entry, so we remember your Accept or Decline choice and don't ask again on every page.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any cookies that sell or share your data with ad networks. You can change your browser settings to block cookies entirely, though some site features may not work as smoothly.

How we share information

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that keep the site and our business running: our website host, our email and form-processing service, and Google Analytics for the anonymized-at-scale usage data described above. Each operates under its own privacy terms and only receives what's needed to do that job.

Newsletter emails

If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address (and name, if you give it) to send occasional seasonal tips, color trends, and offers. Signing up is separate from submitting an estimate request, requesting an estimate does not add you to the newsletter, and signing up for the newsletter does not sign you up for anything else.

We use Brevo, an email service provider, to store the newsletter list and send these emails. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link that removes you immediately. We do not sell or share this list with anyone outside of Brevo acting as our email provider.

How long we keep it

Estimate and contact form submissions are kept as long as needed to respond to your request and, if you become a customer, for our normal business and warranty records. Newsletter signups are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your choices

• Decline analytics cookies at any time using the cookie banner, or by clearing your browser's site data to be asked again.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime using the link in any newsletter email, or by asking us directly.
• Ask us to delete the contact information you've submitted, call or email us and we'll take care of it.
• Opt out of Google Analytics site-wide using Google's browser add-on.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
